How to Create or Join a Cause
Types of account on Cause Community and creating a Cause account
All types of account on Cause Community require individual user registration first. To complete individual user registration please fill out the registration form, in the sign-up section, on the home page or click here.
Non registered user
A non registered user has viewing access to most parts of the site, but cannot post to any part of the site.

Individual registered user
An individual user account allows a user to volunteer, post to the site, add to the knowledge library, respond to requests for advice, knowledge or resources made by causes and join volunteer groups and causes.
Charity or Charitable Cause Account
All administrators of a charity/cause account are able to post help, knowledge and resource requests and send out broadcasts for their charity/cause.
First you need to check whether there is already an existing account created for your charity/cause, you can view the current list by clicking on the "Causes and Volunteer Groups" list on the left hand side menu bar.
If an account has already been set-up for your charity/cause, you can join the account as an additional administrator by contacting the current manager/administrator (see below).
A new cause account, if you are a charity or charitable cause, can be created once the individual registration is complete. After individual registration, you will receive a password which will allow you to log-in to the site. Once logged in, you will see at the top of your Home Page, a box to create a Cause, just complete the form attached. (Alternatively, you can check the Cause creation box in the user profile section of your account, re-submit the profile and complete the cause registration page presented,at any time).
Once created, the cause account can be accessed and managed via the "My Causes and Groups" link on the left hand side menu bar

How to join an existing Charity/Cause as an administrator of the account
In order to join an existing charity/cause as an administrator of the account, you must have registered as an individual user on the site. To register click here.
You will need to first join the existing charity/cause as a member. To do this click on the "Causes and Volunteer Groups" list on the left hand side menu bar and select the charity/cause you wish to join. Click on the join link and submit.
Then clicking on the link of current manager will take you to the profile page, where at the bottom of the page you can send an e-mail requesting administrator rights.
For the manager to add a member as an administrator of a charity/cause account
Click on the "My Causes and Groups" link on the left hand side menu bar and select the cause.
Click on the members link in the "Cause Admin" box on the right hand side.
Click on "list" tab to view a list of the cause's members, and then click the "Admin:create" link for the member you wish to grant administrator rights to and click "submit" the following page.
