Offer or Get Advice

This section provides a forum for recycling knowledge to support charitable causes.

A charitable cause can post a knowledge request it may have online to the cause volunteer community.

Registered volunteers can respond directly to the request, if they are able to help.

Most people have some form of knowledge or skills they would only be too happy to contribute, be it in a particular discipline such as legal, IT, finance, construction or plumbing, or something more generalised from which a cause may benefit and could otherwise spend a lot of time investigating or researching - time that could be devoted to its core activities.

To create a knowledge request click on the "Request advice" tab and submit the completed form.

To view a list of current knowledge requests and see if you are able to help, click on the "Current advice requests" tab above.

Knowledge requests can be posted by charitable organisations that are registered with Cause Community. All requests will show up in the "Current Requests" section of "Offer or Get Advice" and can be viewed by all users of the site. You can also have requests appear on the home page of groups that you are a member of, by selecting these as you complete your request.

If you are a charitable organisation and would like to post a knowledge request, you will first need to register with Cause Community, then you can post a request using the "Request advice" tab above.
